This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of the TextilePassports platform. By accessing our services, you agree to abide by these guidelines. Violation of this policy may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account.
1. Prohibition on "Greenwashing" & False Data
Since TextilePassports is a compliance tool, the integrity of the data is paramount. You agree NOT to:
- Falsify Certificates: Upload fake, expired, or altered documents (e.g., GOTS, Oeko-Tex, or other conformity certificates).
- Misrepresent Composition: Knowingly input false material composition data (e.g., labeling a polyester blend as "100% Cotton").
- Fabricate Supply Chain: List factories or countries of origin that were not involved in the production of the specific product.
2. QR Code & Destination Safety
The QR codes generated by our platform are intended solely for product compliance. You strictly agree NOT to:
- Bait-and-Switch: Edit a published Passport to redirect consumers to unrelated websites, marketing spam, or malicious URLs.
- Malware Distribution: Upload files (PDFs/Images) that contain viruses, worms, or malicious code.
- Phishing: Use the Passport landing page to attempt to deceive consumers into providing sensitive personal information.
3. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Platform to generate Passports for products that are:
- Illegal to sell or distribute in your jurisdiction or the European Union.
- Counterfeit or infringing on the Intellectual Property (trademarks, logos) of another brand.
- Sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, or promoting violence.
4. System Abuse
You agree NOT to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Platform.
- Use automated scripts or "scrapers" to harvest data from other companies' Passports.
- Overload our infrastructure (DDoS) or attempt to bypass our security measures.
5. Enforcement
TextilePassports reserves the right to investigate any violation of this Policy. If we determine you have violated these rules, we may:
- Remove the offending content or Product Passport.
- Suspend your access to the Dashboard.
- Permanently terminate your account without a refund.
- Report illegal activity to relevant authorities (e.g., EU Market Surveillance Authorities).
